Selection Process âī¸
The selection process involves a written exam (preliminary and main), a Physical Efficiency/Standard Test (PET/PST), document verification, and a medical examination.
Written Examination
- Preliminary Exam: 200 marks, 100 objective questions (General Knowledge & Current Affairs), 2 hours. Minimum 30% required to qualify for the main exam. 20 times the number of vacancies will qualify for the main exam.
- Main Exam: Two papers. Paper 1: General Hindi (200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours, qualifying, minimum 30% required). Paper 2: General Studies, Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics & Mental Ability (200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours).
- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks deducted for each incorrect answer in both exams.
- 6 times the number of vacancies will qualify for the PET.
