GATE 2025 Scorecard

GATE 2025 Exam Details

IIT Roorkee conducted the GATE 2025 examination on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The exam was held for 30 different test papers, and candidates could appear for one or two papers, based on a predefined list of combinations.

Question Types

The GATE 2025 exam included three types of questions:

  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): Only one correct answer out of four choices.
  • Multiple Select Questions (MSQs): One or more correct answers out of four choices.
  • Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions: Answer is a real number to be entered using a virtual keypad.

GATE 2025 Answer Key and Challenges

The GATE 2025 answer key challenge window was open from February 27 to March 1, 2025. The response sheets were released on February 27, 2025. The final answer key will be released along with the results.

GATE Score Validity and Usage

The GATE score is valid for three years from the date of the announcement of the results. This score can be used for admissions to postgraduate programs (Master's and Doctoral) with MoE and other Government scholarships/Assistantships. Some Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also use GATE scores for recruitment.

About GATE 2025 Organizers

The GATE 2025 exam is organized by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee). It is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted jointly by IISc Bengaluru and seven IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
